Project 2(a)

Project 2(a) requires us to do a report base on the study we have done on rural, suburban and urban area. Therefore, we came out with this report, comparing the differences between the three areas we have gone which is Pulau Indah (Rural), Shah Alam(Suburban) and Petaling Jaya(Urban). Through this project, I learned how to differentiate rural,suburban and urban area. Basically, they can be differentiate by the population and also the density of the houses.

Project 1(b)

In this project, I used the Menara Telekom as my material. I did a mind map of the tower, introducing the specification of the tower and details of it. Through this project, I learned much more about Menara Telekom. The reason why I chose this building is simply because of the unique design. Looking from afar, the tip of it looks like a shark fin which confuses me when I was a kid, wondering how come there's a shark so huge.

This is what I did for my project 1(a). It is a poster promoting the tropical forest. 

Sketch Journal

This is the first sketch that I did in my sketch journal. It is about nature. To me, nature is a greenery scene. The sketch I did is a scene of a park full with trees and there's a lake in the middle of it.

This is the second sketch in my sketch journal. It looks quite simple, but it consists of 4 elements in it which is fire, earth, air and water. Sun as the element of fire, sea water as the element of water, air as the element of air and the beach as the element of earth. This sketch is a scene of the sunset at the beach.

This is the third sketch in my sketch journal. It is about environment issue. The sketch is about a factory producing gasses that will cause global warming and also air pollution. 

Well, this is the forth sketch in my sketch journal. This sketch is to sketch a landscape perspective. The sketch I did is a sketch of the forest. This landscape can be found in most of the forest. The middle part of the sketch is a path that formed naturally by the dropped leaves.

I guess you guys would be curious what are those. These are actually building materials that are used in the construction industry. The upper part of the sketch is actually a wall made out of bamboo and the lower part of the sketch is a wall made out of bricks. 

Well, I'm required to sketch 3 types of plantation in this sketch. Therefore, these 3 came out. The first one sitting on the upper left corner is obviously a coconut tree. It can be easily found at the seaside. The upper right corner is hibiscus rosa sinensis, Malaysia's national flower. The bottom one is rafflesia. It is the biggest flower in the world and can be found in Malaysia.

This is a timeline about the height of building as technology gets better. It goes from the right side to the left side. Starting from the right side, it is New York's Empire State Building. It is built in 1931 and the height is 381m. The second one is World Trade Center. It is built in 1970 and 1971 and the height is 417m. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in 11 September 2001. The third one is the Petronas Twin Towers. It is built in 1994 and the height is 451.9m. The fourth one is the Taipei 101. It is built in 2004 and the height is 509m. Lastly, it is currently the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. It is built in 2010 and the height is 828m.

These 2 sketches are to sketch furniture. Therefore, I decided to sketch a bed, a drawer and a classic chair.

This sketch is about service detail. The above is details about escalator. The below is a plumbing details. Through this sketch, I learned how a escalator works and also how the plumbing in our house goes.

This is communication infrastructure, how the frequency is being transmit through satellite.

This is the cell phone tower, it transmits the calls from cell phones.

This is sewer infrastructure system. It prevents flood and drains off the rain water.

The picture is about how electricity is supplied.

This is the road infrastructure. Everyone can't avoid using it. The road infrastructure is also related to a nation's economy. Therefore, the road infrastructure plays an important role in a nation.

This is the transport infrastructure. It is built by the government to serve the public. It plays an important role in people's daily life.
